Good - I hoped they'd do this from the start of the rebuilding. Pleased to think that we won't be so different from the other grounds we play on, except that although we might still be the shortest, we're probably still the fattest. Which will suit us more than the opposition.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

We couldnt even win all our games there last year, how are we going to win now with all that extra space to cover.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Yes but think about how tired the opposition will become, having all that extra territory to chase down our misdirected forward forays.
We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty.

            Wow...3m.

Better than nothing I guess. Don't know why they can't go another 3 and make it the same as the Gabba.

If they knocked down the Members and Ladies stands and built proper modern ones in their place they could then easily accomodate the lost seats.

I'm happy enough with that, will still be an advantage to us which I think is important.

Be nice to see a proper 50 metre line for once at the SCG!!

This isn't a serious suggestion is it???

I will be pissed when we lose a game because a shot at goal in the dying seconds is touched on the line.

Every little bit helps. I'm glad it's over 150 metres if only 'cause it sounds better.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Not if your Davo,he doesnt chase at the best of times let alone over another 3 meters.

Interesting that we will now only be 4 meters shorter than the GABBA.

It may add that teeny bit more space so that he is even more freakin' obviously clear on a lead for his quick thinking teammates to feed him the ball, you never know. I do agree he might be a bit dissapointed by the extra chasing, but I'd imagine that is more to do with quite often he is the only forward that is chasing after the other team gets the ball and doesn't rebound quickly as the rest of the forwards rush back to flood. I don't know how many times I've seen Davis as the only Swan running amongst 2 or 3 defenders who are chipping the ball around waiting for something to open up down field. The extra ground to cover will suck.
