as i said in the previous post, if he is committed to rehab and his health, then footy, then yes.
What amazes me with people not only in this forum but others as well, how quick they are to judge for him falling off the wagon, the stats suggest that most addicts will lapse during their rehab.
I wonder how many have judged him porrly in this light who have tried to give up smoking, yet have failed without the pressure, media and all the rest that goes on around him.

i heard Brad hardie make a comment the other day that Ben is actually quite lonely at the moment with not alot of close friends to turn to, as most of his child hood friends have gone down the dark path. which i thought was interesting.

before those comedown on me for my opinions, believe me i am no fan of him and have no sympathy for path he has led to get to this point, however i have empathy for him as the media, and others no doubt want him to fail at every turn, just to give them a headline.

i do believe though that Roosy's comments may have left the door open for him at the swans in 09, he seems to be the only coach to express the ability for him to comeback into footy. Maybe Matthews will retire and leave a spot open for him..(buts thats another thread on ben matthews and should he retire.
