Swans discuss 'two strikes' drugs policy

The Swans want to tighten their own drug testing policy for illicit drugs to a 2 strike policy, but idiots at AFL house won't back them.

But an AFL spokesman made it clear the league would not let any club conduct their own testing.

"They're bound by the AFL policy. Clubs cannot do their own testing," he said.

The spokesman added that under the AFL policy, only the club doctor would know about a player's first two positive tests.
I would have thought that the league would back any attempt to stamp illicit drugs out of the code. It smacks of "We are the only ones who can come up with good ideas"

"I understand the AFL's policy but, you know, is three times too many? I probably think it is," Roos said.
