6/10. Mixed lolly bag, you have to take the good with the bad.

I think Chow-Chicker meant knocking the ball forward or to the advantage of a teammate.

I reckon a lot of people are underrating what he did this year. Davis was a very important player and as a lot of others have said, he wasn't used as much as he should have been.
        7/10.

7/10- often ignored, one of the biggest talents in the side, often played out of position if you ask me. But when the chips are down needs to go and create some play and just get the ball himself, seems almost upset if its not comming to him
Theres not much left to say

                7/10.
Can't blame him for what the midfield doesn't do. Fine mark, deceptively strong for his size, accurate kick for goal and to teammates. Creates opportunities that others wouldn't see. Needs more consistency.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yeh, 6/10 from me too. Comfortably the best kick for goals in the club & have to admit I didn't realise he kciked 30+ goals this year. But a long way from his first Brownlow - still barely scratching the surface I feel.

I'm going to go out on a HUGE (read MASSIVELY MASSIVE) limb here and say that he's the type of player ... if he really, really, really, really applied himself, could (a long, long, long time from now if he really, really, really, really put 100% in instead of about 40%) get nominated for a brownlow. He has the speed, accuracy and strength. Pity he can't use all three at once for longer than five minutes.

Bull@@@@. He does apply himself. Blokes like him are just inconsistent. He is that sort of player. It's like saying that if Kirk applied himself he might learn to kick like Malceski. Davis will never win a Brownlow. Kirk will never hit Hall lace out from 50 metres.

For the season, 7.5/10 for Nick on his own standards, probably 6.5/10 across the AFL. Thought his accuracy was down a bit this year, but that he was often ignored by the Hallcentric Swans. I have sometimes commented that he is not well coached - maybe he is just not suited to the Swans. With better delivery he could camp in the fwd 50 and convert more opportunities. He also needs to be less fit. The fitter he gets the more time he spends injured. he is not a natural athlete. He plays better when he is heavier (not gasping but a bit softer), IMO.

Please my post (and not between the lines). I didn't say he'd get a brownlow - I said he could have a chance (albeit very small) at being nominated, i.e. get a few BOGs from the umpires.

It's a god damn pity his inconsistency lets him down.

He has moments of sheer brilliance (well, he did get us into the Granny after all), but is more often than not unsupported by his team mates. Playing him in the backs was a HUGE mistake - when he did manage to escape and move forward, it was usually without his tag and he ususally did some damage (goal wise).

And, if Kirk did apply himself he'd be able to hit Blind Barry on the chest from 50 - practice, practice, practice.

Definitely 7/10 from me. Did a lot from what appeared to be relatively limited opportunities. Not so much game time but positioning.
RP ever think of making these threads a poll?
