WTF? I didn't start this thread! I clicked on the 'Talk about it' button on the main feed page to see what would happen, is that a new feature?

Yes it's a new feature. Like it?

I hope you enjoy the small list of news items on the Forum Home.

        This serves a few purposes.
        1. It gives a quick list of the last 5 headline from sydneyswans.com.au, Google News found on the Swans, and general news from afl.com.au. Lists the latest 10 news items when you select the heading.
        2. It removes the dreaded auto-RSS news threads that appear every so often, most of which seem to be ignored, or at least not responded to.
        3. Allows you to decide if it is worth talking about.
        Instructions:
Well as Xie Shan found out, the [Talk about it!] Button is the one that creates a thread. This thread was created from "Coffs Harbour welcomes the Swans" news item. (I have since renamed the thread)
        • Items from the ss.com.au or google will create threads in RWO Chat.
        • Items from afl.com.au will create threads in General AFL.
So, be sure you want to create a thread before clicking the button. If you do click it by accident, just contact one of your friendly mods, by reporting the post, and informing them it was an accident and they will be happy to remove it. I will try and put in a warning of somekind to ensure you wish to continue, or cancel.

Secondly, once a thread has been created, the button next to the news item will change to [Join Talk!], this informs you that a thread has already been created and by clicking it your will be taken to the correct thread.

Some times threads may be moved, merged, or deleted, this may affect the way this works as I haven't tested all these conditions. Please let me know if there are any issues.

        Cheer Cheer.
