    2007 Scorecard - #7 Luke Brennan

    Yeah, yeah, yeah ....

Tis a long off season... And whilst we have the time on our hands, let's critique each players performance in 2007.

Let's go in numerical order and each have our two cents worth on their performance for the year. Players will get changed/updated as soon as the dust settles on each players review and everyone's had their say.

Most importantly, everyone needs to give each player a rating out of 10 so we can reasonabley measure their performance... In your opinion of Course

    Rate away......

2/10 - only played 5 games and didn't get much of the ball, hopefully 2008 is a lot better for him.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

I liked what I saw. Particularly in Canberra against Melbourne. One goal was set up by his never give up second attempt. I think a bit more seniors time will see him improve, but from limited opportunities he looks good. 5/10

I s'pose we rate him on the games he played????
4/10. He seems to have the heart and spirit to play at this level just needs a little polish.

4/10 for the games he played. He was a bit nervous at first, but by his 5th game, he was getting the hang of it. He's not scared of the ball. That's a huge plus in my books. He shows promise.

But still no better than what we have

Brennan is just another player in the team. He will not add much value and is probably stopping a young gun getting a game. His kicking is atrocious and mark/handball ordinary. And not a strong rebounder or runner. I don't see the value in him at all.

Showed a few sparks although seriously outclassed against Rusling in EF (not Robinson Crusoe there). When the hammy went ping it was Uh Oh. The big question is can his body hold up to the rigours of senior football? Based on history probably not which is a shame as I disagree with Push the Limits above - I think he is a reasonably strong mark, is prepared to run and have a go and shows a lot of courage.

5/10 for games played and time on ground. Made a few errors but I think we forget how young and inexperienced he his. Good overhead and reasonably quick. Disposal ordinary, but experience may offset that. Will be interesting to see how he goes this year.

                  5.
Unfortunately his game time wasn't much to go on but obviously willing. Worth persisting with and showed enough to say he could yet surprise us.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                        5/10 from me.

If we could meld Brennans attitude and courage with McHacks ability, I think we'd have a very handy footballer.

                          5/10.

                          Liked what I saw.

Got towelled up by Rusling in Round 21 before doing his hamstring, but other than that he was good. Strong hands, but like so many of our other player's - his disposal is terrible.

5/10. Has potential and could be the big improver next year.

Looked good against the pies, even though his opponent was kicking butt, but delivery didn't help his cause.

4.5/10 (Leaves heaps of room for improvement)
