    7.
I was going to say 6.5 but thought about his importance to our structure and what he is probably passing on to younger players.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

a shade away from 7 out of ten. We have a song that we sing when Spida goes near the ball: it is "I need a hero". Can be too keen to do the big things when sometimes the little things will do.

        6.5/10
Ran out of steam towards the end of the season with his injuries.

Very handy but. Can he keep up his level in 08?

Hopefully Currie really comes on next year.

wanted to give six and a half but, as halves are the tool of the devil, gonna push score up due to 'gangster' tats.

No more than 6. Came a season too late. No flag for Spider - which is a pity, because he is one of the last characters in the AFL.

(6/10 for his overall form & 8/10 for importance to Jolly & team structure) = 7/10

Bit of a 'flat track bully'. Dominated against most younger rucks but struggled to break even against more experienced combinations. I think he got smashed by Ottens/Blake in the round 13 Geelong game and Cox/Seaby in the round 16 West Coast game.

However, Everitt really took a load off Jolley who was then able to play a much more physical crash through ruckman role this year.

Will again benefit team structure and ruck development in 2008. I hope the current knee injury does not impact greatly as Sydney may need to blood Currie or will be forced to use LRT or Playfair as unco back-ups.

              Cheers

6/10. Did well against the crap teams but in my opinion failed to step up a lot of the time when needed. Did plenty of good things, but for a player of his experience made some critical elementary errors at big stages (ie against the Bombers with that behind even if a touch unlucky and some poor ruck decisions when in the defensive 50 esp against collingwood in the elmination final). Came a year too late unfortunately but certainly his experience will help the young guys at the club and certainly helped take a load off Jolly. the two of them need to step up int he big games next year not just bash the rubbish ruckman of the competition.

A very important player for us. Maybe not the dominant force he has been in previous years at previous clubs but given his age, a more than satisfactory return for a No.33 draft pick.

                      7/10

Played some good games, particularly early in the season but I think the above poaters have overrated him. Not as good as Jolly and I suspect his fading season will confirm he is now way too old. 5/10.

Best we can do is plonk him the forward pocket and hope for the best. Be interseting to see if RWO'ers will be questioning whether his form warrants selection by mid season. A worry that an ageing body has a knee problem already in pre season.

You could be right Nico, maybe we could plonk him either down back or up forward as an extra tall.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
