as i have said before his good was very good but at times he was insiped
I don't bleed for the bloods. That is something only the team could do. But I have followed the Swans for nearly 40 years and endured all the crap as a young kid at school who's team never made the finals.

This thread is about season 07 and nothing from any other season rates mentioning or should effect the rating of a player in this season.

I thought his better games were significantly better than anything we've seen from him before (his Swans debut aside) and were reasonably numerous. But when he was ordinary, he was very very very ordinary. Needs to close that gap between his best and worst.

Still, definitely an improvement in his around the ground contribution.

7 out of 10 from me.

supporters can bleed for their team, the thread says jolly and he is accountable for his whole career.
liz sums it up perfectly as always.

6.5/10. I really did not want to have to give half marks, but I see no choice for Jolly. He can be really good, maybe having Spida around spurred him on, but then he can also be totally ineffective.
If you have to look back at past performances for the players let us all bask in the glory of 2005.

While his bad games were very ordinary, I thought his good games were amongst the best he has had with us.

                7.5/10

Games where he went missing seemed to coinside with games the Everitt also played poorly. When Everitt was up it allowed Jolly to go very hard in 15 to 20 minute bursts.

However, played a much more physical ruckman style this season and got his hand to the ball first more often than not. I also like a big bodied ruck who occasionally spikes to ball forward towards goal over the massed midfielders 'in a scrum' scragging at their feet.

I was very pleased to see Jolly kicking goals again this season and also the increased number of marks taken around the ground. It should be expected that he will need to again increase the number of goals kick and marks taken next season.

Having said all that I was very pleased when he re-signed as he will shoulder the 1st ruck position for years to come.

                Cheers

OK year. Carried a sore knee for quite a few games. Didn't look to be really happy for a while there so I really hope 2008 and this long contract have him settled and ready to go.

Think he had other things on his mind - going back home.
Now that done I think The Jolly one will get back to his best,
He was serviceable this year though like Spida went missing some weeks.
Good goalkicker, though he has to get back into the back half much quicker and be stronger in defence to help out Bolts ,Leo & LRT.
Glad he has stuck with us, been a great pick up.
