    2007 Scorecard - #26 Sean Dempster

He may be no longer with us, but RWOers may rate him higher than the club did.

    Rate away....

I liked Dempster as a player, good speed, good long kick. Biggest problem he had all year was having to put up with Leo Barry setting him and other teammates up when they were under more pressure than he was. Not his best year but servicable, sad to see him go, 6/10.

      3.5 out of ten....

Very disappointing after a promising start. Hope he does more for the Aints, though I doubt it.

5.5/10 He always seemed to have the ability and I was happy to see him charging up the wing with long kicks into the F50. Sad to see him go.

4/10 - Missed several games, couldn't handle the pressure most times in the backline and doesn't get much of the ball but had a great game against the Eagles in Round 16. I'm not too disappointed he's now with St. Kilda.

Not up to the grade for the past season and was not a great surprise to see him gone.

He had a nice long kick but it usually flew long over the offered lead. His awarness of opposition players was poor, often resulting in him being run down and tackled.

While he is no longer on 'our' list, he will always be able to say he is a premership player for Sydney and I certainly thank him for his efforts.

                Cheers

Loved his booming kicks, but just seemed to be missing something that would make him a better player.

I enjoyed his goals from outside 50. Good luck at St Kilda.

                            4/10 for me.
Maybe he had some specific role in the team that I must've missed.

I thought he always showed the promise of becoming a outstanding wingman with the ability to kick long goals, and he showed that from time to time, but he never quite made it for us.
However, IIRC, whenever he got large numbers of possessions, he was dropped the following week, so he would be a bit unlucky as well.
Good luck with St Kilda - for 20 games a year anyway.

                              3.5/10.
