Difficult to judge where his development is up to but he seems to have fairly reasonable foot skills.
I don't really have any standout memory of Thornton in the reserve games I've seen. This is probably because he has played mainly in the centre where, in almost all games, the ball was easily cleared by whoever was on-ball at the time.
I think others are ahead of him for possible game time in the seniors. Will have to wait and see for season 2008.
