    8/10

Great player who had an average season but his sheer perseverance and heart got him over the line. Never gave up, Never gave in. What he lacks in ability and skill he makes up in pure guts. Any othe rplayer would have rated a 6, this guys gets the extra points just for his commitment. Did I mention that he's probably the best captain in the league?

    Make it 8.5.

8/10 Not his best season and just behind Craig Bolton overall in my opinion. Never has a bad game and while he doesnt have the skills of many players in the league sure makes up for it with courage, heart and guts. Might not win a lot of games by himself but we would be far worse off without him.

The spiritual leader of our club - the whole team lifts when he's doing what he does best, burrowing under packs and basically showing a complete disregard for his own wellbeing.
Kirky had a super year again and without a doubt should be the one and only captain of our great club.
However, he slipped off slightly towards the end of the year as the pressure of carrying the midfield wore down on him (or maybe it was because I backed him to win the Brownlow after round 15! ).

          8.5/10

Is all heart and never stops putting everything on the line for the club.

His disposal efficiency if not as high as we would all hope, but at least he has the excuse that most of his disposals are from the bottom of packs or in tight following a stoppage (a few others in our midfield don't have this excuse and their disposal efficiency is worse).

He deserves the respect of all football fans given the way he goes about his game.

Is he unbreakable? 130 consecutive games - 3rd on current streak behind Goodes and Pavlich. Although he has turned 30 I believe there is plenty of good football left in him.

                  Cheers

Clearly our best player for the season IMO. Even the magnificent Bolton had a couple where he was beaten convincingly.

Kirk's efforts against Hawthorn in the MCG match stand out in my memory. Not only did he keep Mitchell below his normal output, his ball winning and never-say-die work rate in the second half was superb. Everitt got a lot of the plaudits for that game but for me it was Kirk who won it for the Swans.

Also remember his tagging job on Shaun Burgoyne, whose speed and elusiveness ought to make him too hard a job for Kirk. But no-one told the Captain that. If Burgoyne wants to become the top flight midfielder his talent says he is capable of, he'd do worse than study that game and see just how hard work can make up for pretty much any limitation.

9/10 for me and a deserved 2nd time Bobby Skilton medallist.
