This kid new they were skating on thin ice and he goes and does something stupid like that which IMO makes it even more stupid.Then he lies about what actully happend"i was just moving the car for a mate,so i got two of my mates to keep me company" These young kids at football clubs probly have it drilled into them more than any other kids their age and he still doesnt sink into his thick head.
Its good that he gets humiliated publicly because now it might actually sink in.

When are these morons going to learn. If you have a drink, DON'T DRIVE. It's not rocket science. DUI shows a reckless disregard for human life and should be more heavily punished by the courts than what it currently is. If this so called public humiliation stops this kid from ever doing this again, then maybe we have saved a life.

what about some of mcquires past misdomeaners when he was a rookie reporter.

His age doesn't excuse his behaviour. His youthful indiscretion could have killed someone.

Also I can't see what bearing Eddies past indiscretions have on the current situation.

Well said Al. Youth does not excuse the responsibility that is yours when you first get your licence.

Whatever Eddie may be perceived to have done in the past, I would bet that it probably didn't have the possibility of killing someone.
