Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Didn't see enough, to give him a rating.

Looked talented enough, but wasn't given a lot of ground time when he got his chances. He looked more capable at the top level than Grundy, but Grundy went back to the reserves and dominated. By all accounts, Vogels didn't perform much better in the reserves than he did in the seniors, which is probably why he was delisted.

I always liked the look of Vogels but he never made the most of his opportunities.

I agree that he never seemed to get enough chances, but he didn't really seem to take the ones he got either.
He did well to get picked up as a mature age player from Warrnambool and play a few games - a few more than he would have expected at one stage, that's for sure.
I'll never forget his match winning effort against the Bulldogs at the SCG.

                2/10.

Reported to be playing for East Ringwood in the Eastern Football League in Melbourne. They are now odds on to win the flag by a long way.

Grossly under played by the coach when we had a forward line that could hardly scrounge 10 goals a game and the much touted FF was injured all season.

5/10 for the limited ground time.

1.5/10 on limited game time. Really never got the chance he deserved and going by his dreadful performance on Reserves grand final day this year at least there might have a been a reason for it.
