    2007 Scorecard - #41 Ed Barlow

    Rate away ...
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Missed his Brisbane game (@#$%@#$^ Foxtel), terrible game against the pies, but showed he knows how to find the footy.

Just a pass, but winner of "Best New Talent for 2008".

    5.5/10

    Next number should be interesting.

6/10 - Definitely has potential to be the next Adam Goodes in the midfield or even as a KPP given his size . Was impressive against Brisbane and Hawthorn but shocking against Collingwood and he will have more opportunities to show us his talent in 2008.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Cheese was easily our suprise packet of 07.
We all knew Esky had it, and along with Tim Schmit doesnt look out of place with the big boys. Reminds me of Goodsey as he can run , take a grab, and just plays footy as it should. Real good size about him to.These guys are young and we should be excited about seeing young talent.
I rekon he will be our 1st NAB Rising Star since LRT ?
Hope he comes along this year as he showed enough to be a
        regular senior player

I assume you mean Rising Star nominee? There is a big difference between being a nominee and winning it ala Goodesy.

I thought so, but wouldn't it be good if he could do a "Goodesy" and win it?

I love watching that "Hey let's just run around and play footy" stuff that some new players do. It reminds me of Auskick where kids just run around and love getting the ball, then do a handstand.

I was very pleased with his good games. The thinking involved in the bad game hurt his head I think. Doh!

The potential is there, lets hope that it all comes together consistently for him this year.

I think we've found someone here. Barlow looked the goods in the game against Brisbane and showed what he is capable of when he believes in himself.
In the other three matches he pretty much performed along the lines of his teammates - i.e. good against Hawthorn, crap against Collingwood.

                        5/10.

7/10 - he Goodes and Malceski were the only 3 still having a go at the end of the Elimination Final.

                          Could be a real find.

I was going to give him a 6.

But I'm going to deduct two for "under the radar"

                            So make it 4/10.

Looks to have made the step OK but I think he was given a little too mauch lattitude by the opposition and therefore got some easy posessions. He'll probably get a bit closer attention this year. Then we'll know if he's a goer or not. (I hope he is)....
