Steve Johnson clocked at 128km/h in 50 zone

The so called bad boy turned good is at it again.

FootyGoss :: Club News - Geelong [Cat Johnson clocked driving 128km/h in residential area]

To be 78 kilometres over the limit in a residential area is pretty serious.

Can we start a thread about how he'd be a great pick up now that Geelong will tear up his contract????

Geelong have a duty of care to ensure Steve Johnson attends a Driver Education course. They must not punish him.

Wouldn't it be better if people just learnt what "duty of care" actually meant?

                          Just in!

Johnson has defended his speeding with the following comments....

Some people just like to drive fast.
It all comes down to choice. You can choose to stick to the speed limit, or you can choose to speed.
If you choose to stick to the speed limit, and you are in the far right-hand lane of a multi-laned highway, get out of my freaking way!! Do your sticking to the speed limit in the middle or outside lane. Get out of the "fast" lane, now. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
What are the consequences of my speeding? I don't believe I've ever caused an accident by my speeding. If the p platers choose to copy me ... well, if I jump off the harbour bridge, will they follow?
LET THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NEVER SPED, CAST THE FIRST STONE.
                          SNAP POLL ...

Have you ever (ever, ever) driven over the speed limit?

                          Yes .................... 1
                          I Don't drive ...... 2

                          do-gooders.
if it's 3am and I'm the only person in an intersection and I'm stuck at a red light ... guess what ... I'll go through it. Big freaking deal.
I've been known to actually drive at 120-130k's/hr in country areas where the speed is "at your discretion".
Far out ... how ironic is that??? Call Alanis Morriset.
if YOU think that "excessive speeding" is 5-10k's over the limit ... that's what YOU think. I don't.
that still makes me a more experienced, and better trained driver than you, irrelevant of whether or not I stick to the speed limit
The psycharist I saw is being released from his padded room next week.
I have also completed an advanced driver training course (which the NSW govt are thinking of introducing for P-Plate drivers before they get their blacks [according to talk back this morning]).

That's what makes me think I'm a safer driver than you.
In Sydney, going 5-10k's over the limit is not considered "speeding"

OK, they were actually Annie's quotes

What a fun thread to reacquaint myself with
