    C: Fosdike J Bolton Mattner
    HF: R O'Keefe Hall Barlow
    FF: O'Loughlin Playfair Davis

I'd swap Richards for Playfair at this stage and have Buchanon, Brennan and Bevan as possible Emergency/Interchange, especially Buchanon.

I knew I left someone out, I would replace a hungry Buchanen for McVeigh,

As for Richards, I just don't see him as a forward and so if Playfair does go forward at first, then he squeezes into the side ahead of him as the defensive six look settled.

Brenan & Bevan are both back-up players pure and simple.

You rate LRT and Mattner that highly?

I rate LRT's structural importance higher than his ability - but most probably living back in '05 when he had a ripper season - yes I do rate LRT.

Mattner: well we seemed to slurp him so quickly in the off-season and with his experience as in outside running mid/wing/defender could add great depth to our side. I want to see what he is worth.

It's just that that's the only two real changes you made to the 07 side.

I don't think Playfair will come straight in but Mattner should and a fit LRT at CHB is a no-brainer.

Crucial seasons for Crouch and Mathews. If they're fit they have a role to play but at the very least I hope 4 new guys come in from the disappointing 2007 side and it's their positions most under threat.

I hope we play a genuine crumbing small forward this year - why not blood Vespremi straight away, he seems the most likely.

Crouch, Bevan, McVeigh, J Bolton and Mathews out, not even emergencies. Anyone else in.

Common denominators with those are poor disposal, no pace and don't get the footy enough. 3 of them are way over the hill and the other 2 just don't cut the mustard at the top level. If these players keep getting a game then we have no hope of going up the ladder with the likelihood of plunging down a long way. We need more speed not old hacks disguised as snails.

I just hope we play players on form not in the hope that they might find form they haven't had for 3 years or more.
