I have no problem with practice matches. But the pre-season competition is a meaningless waste of time. Just add a few more rounds to the season proper.
The Ansett Cup is so that the wooden spooners of the H&A season can feel special. We're normally out half way through the round one game.
The practice matches are fun ... I had a great day in Canberra last year.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
