    Bolton thriving for on-ball role

Hmm, do people think he can get back to winning contested possessions and clearances?

At this time of year, all 16 teams say the same thing. Pre-season bravado only!

You're not going to hear "The boys are training like @@@@, wooden spoon here we come"

Sorry, did he ever really do this effectively anyway?

(Regulars will know of the Bolton and GS incident at Manuka in 07)

Blonde yes, "primma donna" no. Bolton has always been tough and hard at it and though very pretty, never a pretty boy. Sadly he is also pretty much a hack, and getting worse. But, I think it is unfair to call him a prima donna. And by the way, I agree that he should take a leadership role with the 2's.

Anyone who is blonde and prettier than me is a Primma Donna in my book. It's a jealousy thing.

Agree because i witnessed it first hand,he wouldn't give my kids and other kids the time of day so i gave him a little spray.

I wouldnt say he's a pretty boy after all he does go hard at the ball and puts his body on the line.

Here we go, here we go, here we go AGAIN! Obviously this article tells us that this talentless hack with no skills will again be on the gravy train in 2008.

How dare he pretend to be an elite sportsman while being clearly unfit and still put his hand out every week to collect our membership subscriptions. You could take by his own admission that he wasn't carrying an injury.

He says he wasn't fit to play in the midfield. Hang on, isn't that the only place that he was ever touted as being suited to. He is too slow for second efforts or tagging let alone play in the midfield. After 186 games he still hasn't a clue where to position himself to win a centre bounce clearance. He clearly can't play in the forward line as he is about the worst finisher in the game, and has trouble grasping the concept of crumbing after 186 games which probably has something to do with pace and a quick brain function, which are again required functions of centre clearance contests.

His article follows on from another perennial hack in Brad Green who was articled once again on how he has turned over another leaf to get himself back into the leadership group. 2 years ago he told the world on how he was morphed into a hard nut and you would see another side of him. 2 years later and he is still as soft as butter.

Bolton has put his head in a noose with this article and I would rather him say how he planned to get his stats in a game to over 20 possessions than hang his hat on a bleedin' time trial.

The amazing thing about this little shivering nut is that he got a bloody pay rise when by his own admission he has been far from professional, sheeesh, grrr. If he couldn't be honest about himself in 2007 and put his hand up and say I need to a bit of remedial work in the 2's then how could he possibly been honest out on the ground. And as someone else said he probably had a few mates and it showed on the field. If he for one had been honest we might have seen the emergence of a midfielder who got a go and I am sure most on here could name at least a handful. No wonder supporters from other clubs keep harping on about a lack of young blood at our club.

Angry, you bet I am, and if this dud doesn't show more than a scintilla of improvement I will sink the boots in even further.

How remiss of me. Yes he is very skilled: at hitting the bloke ten rows back in the crowd with a bullet like pass meant for a teammate upfield.

A 'little unskilled", you are right, he is little and unskilled.
