barry halls form is the most pleasing aspect of this match for me. It cant do any harm to have a good win like this. Anyone got any photos up?

Didn't stop her going back for seconds and thirds - two at a time mind you!!

Boardshorts and thongs at the footy - wouldn't be allowed into the Noble.

I agree with a lot of the posts on this thread. Goodes, Hall, Mattner and Bird were all excellent. Some of the kicking for goal (other than BBBH) was pretty dusty though. Goodes looks to have been on Cartman's Beefcake mixture during the off-season!

I was side-on when Thornton did his knee and it looked rotten as it happened. He looked to get it stuck in the turf and it hyper-extended. Ouch

Doctor, what was your take on Brennan. Liz and I have been debating his merits for half a season now. This will have been his first genuine pre-season. Some reports said he went Ok, others were not impressed. With Mal and Thornton going down with knees (thats 5 already this pre season) does he look to be the obvious to hold down a backline position?

Thornton's brother Ashley was on the weagles rookie list last year, he did his knee aswell so the weagles delisted him. Looks like the same thing will happen with Kristin.

Awesome! Some of the boys are looking VERY fit, more so than usual. How big is Goodes? And I don't mean in the pants, Annie.

Agree it was a make or break season for Thornton, but he may have shown ebouh through preseason and the couple of games to guarantee his spot on the list post surgery, probably as a rookie next year.

Would look like Bird, Moore and maybe O'Dwyer (if upgraded) are the three young guys who may come into the side round one. White maybe a show if Everitt is running late for round one.

Mattner as the mature age recruit will be the other.

hardly, he has just come off his initial 2 year contract. Surely he has signed for another 2 years. If he was delisted one of the WA clubs would surely pick him up. He has been progressing steadily and was just showing his wares. He is only 20 at best.

Malceski did his knee in his first year and look how he turned out. He was a virtual unknown but proved to be outstanding. Why go searching for another talent when you have one right in your midst.

Make or break season at 20? We'd be crazy to let him go, he could be a real gem for us next season!

Besides Kennelly, Spida and Malceski, what other "noticables" were MIA?

                                Fosdike (inj), ROK, Leo, Richards.

And then Schmidt, Bevan and Crouch who are borderline best 22 - ie some will think they are; some will think they're not.
