    That's excellent, didn't deserve a suspension.

It's great news for Jack but not sure I agree that it didn't warrant a suspension given the tribunal guidelines for head high contact. I certainly think it was clumsy rather than intentional but given the incidents other players have received suspensions for, I am slightly surprised he hasn't been given a week or so.

Yes, I thought he might've got an little holiday, it didn't look good for him.

Lucky boy. Hope he had a few $$ on the result.

I thought in that passage of play he copped a high shot that didn't get a whistle then had a rush of blood. I think he deserved a week just for consistency's sake, consistency and the AFL tribunal could do with an introduction.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

            That's great news, I thought he'd get a suspension.

How many people here think, that he'll play senior football this year?

I like the fact that he's quick, but his disposal can be Paul Bevan like at times.

If he's anything like his dad (who was my boyhood hero) he'll show a tonne of heart, a bit of toe and every now and then will do something unbelievably brilliant.

Whether or not that translates into AFL appearances, time will tell. I certainly hope so anyway.

You're 100% right. I thought that side step on Sunday was a good example. He'd have genetically adapted side stepping knees from his old man.

Goodness me, this man is to be remembered for ever for a sidestep in a NAB Cup.

His dad played a different sport. Different sports require different skills, techniques and diffrent body movements and running styles amongst other things.

They do. But there are also many attributes and skills common to different sports. It is why AFL clubs are prepared to take the risk on bringing elite Gaelic footballers across to the other side of the world despite most of them barely having held a Sherrin before they get on the plane. It is why Sydney (and now Collingwood) have taken a punt on young athletic beanpoles who've barely played a game of Aussie Rules but have excelled at other sports. It is why the untapped potential of ex-basketballers like Pendlebury encourages clubs to use high draft picks on players who've been in the system for only a year or two.

Kennelly's father played a different sport but it doesn't stop us attributing some of his ability to the genes he inherited. No reason why Jack should be different in that regard.
