And from experience, if you want a seat in general admission you may as well head straight from Avalon to Skilled Stadium and grab you seat becasue they don't last long. I hate when we play down there...

You may also want to make sure you book tickets for Sat April 19th - that is the day of the game, not Fri April 18th.

I am absolutely certain of that date because 19th April 2008 is not only the day of the Geelong v Sydney match, it is also the due date of our first Financial Burden (coincidentally a child born to a Sydney supporting father and a Geelong supporting mother)

      Stakes are high.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

So how many from the Lee family should I put down for the after party? 3 or 0?

As usual, the before and after party is at my place, Tony Morwood is still to let me know which players will be attending (probably the same ones as last year) so if you know where I live you are welcome, if you don't and you think you should be included send me a PM.

I love it. Standing in the outer, behind the goals with a few beers - great day out!

Unfortunately almost certainly 0. Shame, it's the first Geelong/Sydney match at Kardinia Park I have missed since 1997 (Kneecapgate)

Gee mate you are an optimist. Getting out of Geelong and getting to Avalon by 6.30pm is a big call. One nano second after 6.30pm and Jetstar will slam the door in your face.

You have no hope in Bevan of getting there on time.

It' s a 20 minute drive to Avalon, 10 if you get a good run with the traffic lights. With internet check in, as long as you don't have luggage you don't need to worry about the 30 minutes anymore, so it can be done, but a much better idea is to stay the night in lovely Geelong.

Yep! Check in both ways (and print your boarding passes) before you leave home.
