    Swans Best 22????

I don't know if this topic has been brought up, but meh!! Here goes!

My best 22 for the Swans.

B: Ted Richards - Craig Bolton - Leo Barry
HB: Martin Mattner - Lewis Roberts-Thomson - Tadhg Kennelly
C: Nic Fosdike - Brett Kirk - Luke Ablett
HF: Ryan O'Keefe - Barry Hall - Amon Buchanan
    F: Michael O'Loughlin - Henry Playfair - Nick Davis
R: Darren Jolly - Adam Goodes - Jude Bolton
I/C: Eddie Barlow - Craig Bird - Peter Everitt - Jarrad McVeigh
Em: Jared Crouch - Ben Mathews - Tim Schmidt

What do you think? I know some of you would be horrified to see McVeigh in the side, but Meh!! I'd rather him in, than Ben Mathews.

Some of the younger blokes to watch out for this season, that could push up for more games this year are: Jarrad Moore, Patrick Veszpremi, Daniel O'Keefe, Eddie Barlow, Tim Schmidt and Craig Bird.

Bird is my tip for the AFL's Rising Star award in 2008.

What's your best 22 for the Swans?

If you take into account injuries (i.e. the best side we could put out onto the park at this very moment), mine would be:

B: Ted Richards - Craig Bolton - Leo Barry

HB: Martin Mattner - Lewis Roberts-Thomson - Tadhg Kennelly

C: Adam Goodes - Brett Kirk - Luke Ablett

HF: Ryan O'Keefe - Barry Hall - Jesse White

      F: Nick Davis - Michael O'Loughlin - Jarrad McVeigh

R: Peter Everitt - Nic Fosdike - Jude Bolton

I/C: Ed Barlow - Craig Bird - Darren Jolly - Amon Buchanan

Depending on Jude Bolton's year, Schmidt could be considered in there. He's our best player not in that side. Barlow is a bit of a maybe, as are, of course, the two included who are yet to play a full-on game for us, White and Bird, but we'll see. I like the look of that team a lot. The only player missing is Eski. I reckon Barlow would make way if Mal was fit. Mal would play in the centre and Ablett or Fosdike would go to the bench.

And I'm not sure Playfair, even if he was fit (last I heard he did his hammy or something, any updates on that? I can't bring myself to care that much though), would make the side. I'd give White the nod ahead of him as the extra tall forward.

Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

It doesn't include injured players, otherwise he would be in there.
