Mike Sheahans Top 50 of all Time

I know we are all biased & this is such a subjective topic and we all have different opinions on certain players.
Though couldnt have Dunstall at 5 in front of Plugger.
The Chief was a fine player in a fine side who had his goals supplied to him on a silver plate week after week in a dominant side that dominated footy for 10 years

Plugger on the other hand kicked alot of goals at the Saints in a very ordinary side that was beaten regularly ,heavily most of the times .
Then at the Swans had 2 on him most of the time with the floating man in front (Those who Dared )

Both were great kicks at goal, though gee I rekon Plugger was better.

Only had a quick look at the article but, from memory, Bobby Skilton was only ranked at 14. Unbelievable - a triple Brownlow Medallist who played in lowly sides and had to get the ball himself week after week after week! Maybe Sheahan confused the ranking with the number on the champion's back!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I must agree, I thought Lockett should have been in front of Dunstall... I cannot think of any reason as to why Dunstall is a better player.

Also thought Goodesy should have been in the mix, after all he is a dual brownlow medallist.
                      Ed Considine's day out - Round 3, 16th April 1995.
11 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 8 Marks, 1 Goal, 1 Behind, 1 Tackle, 1 Hitout, 3 Brownlow votes (his only votes)

I agree but this means little to Sheehan...there is only 2 Brownlow medalists in the Top 10.

This Murdoch clown has the old crim and gutless wonder Nicholls in front of the great man Skilts!!! Complete joke. As George Bernard Shaw once wrote to a critic. " Sir I have your article in front on me. Shortly I will have it behind me"
