I'd like to know who people believe will be the big improvers in the Swans this year? If we don't get at least three (or four) improvers then we simply will not progress from last years mediocre output.
My improvers:
1. Jarrad McVeigh: I know he is most people's whipping boy but it must be remembered that he is still only 22 (nearly 23) and has the best years ahead of him. I can see some good signs in his game and wish that he would just relax and let loose at times (rather than constantly trying to negate at the expense of his own game).
2. Tadhg Kennelly: Simply due to the fact that he was restricted by injuries last year. If his current shoulder injury isn't too bad then he will definitely be a major plus for the team.
3. Heath Grundy: Apparently really impressing in the preseason. This big bodied player is exactly what the Swans need in one area that the team is quite deficient in.
4. Lewis R-Thomson: Sorely missed last year in a defence that teams constantly tried to exploit for height. With the possible three pronged attack in Round 1 of Riewoldt, Koschitzke and Gehrig, there is no better time for LRT to arrive as a player (remembering how well he played in the '05 Grand Final).
