Adam goodes - set him free

Seriously his instructions should be from Roos

"goodesy play where ever you like and just let your natural game take over"

He seems lost when he doesn't have the freedom to just do what he wants. Well on TV he seemed that way.

I think he was - was just really really well tagged by Fisher all night and struggled to get into the game.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Really disappointed, kept asking myself when is he going to fire.

After watching him in the pre-season game against Port.............really thought he'd be on in Round 1.

Was interesting to see B2 and others trying to fire him up in the huddle at 3/4 time. Partially worked with a bit better look in the last q.

I wanted Goodes to man up on Kosi for half a quarter and try to run off him. Teddy looked awful down there, whilst Goodes is not a defender and may have been just as bad it would have been a way to get him some kicks and get his head into the game.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Didn't seem to be moving well and no fire in his belly - there was one contest where the 37yo Harvey left him for dead. He looked like Paul Chambers.

The last time I dumped on him was when I called him a skitter who engaged in mazza type play. He then went on to win the Brownlow.

It might be a little "Captain Obvious", but I think Goodes holds the key to our season. I'm expecting players like Jack, Barlow, Bird etc to have solid seasons, but if Goodes takes forever to get going, we'll really struggle to make the 8.

I'm not sure why he's started the last 2 years this way, but he better snap out of it!

                Ouch.

He really didn't inspire us, but he was much better than the 1st half of last season!!

What worries me about Goodesy's game is it was remarkably like those he had when he had female troubles last year.

The glowing difference for Goodsey is the GAP between his good and bad games. His bad ones are real bad, and are always against guys who get on top of him Eg: Mark Bolton,Simon Godfrey & Leigh Fisher.

The boy will bounce back though !!
