I wrote them off weeks ago. Going to ba a long season for the Dees IMHO.
Given their lineup, I think most people would've written them off as soon as the 2007 season finished. Downhill skiing will be their specialty for 2008 after that woeful performance.
What's more embarrassing is that they scored more points than the Swans.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore
Dean Bailey needs to start looking at the under 18 comps for the No.1 draft pick right now.
He's good a full season to plan for it.

If I had the money I'd be plonking on them very heavily for the spoon. Were $3.80 eq favourites with Richmond at the start of the round, surely will come into $2.50 odd when the markets reopen. They were a disgrace last season and not much better by the looks of it this season!

Agreed. Have to be odds on favourites for the spoon.
I think they are the next club under the chopping block. They have a dwindling supporter base of people who often would prefer to take out a MCC Membership rather than a club one, they don't have a home ground at all & train on a cricket oval in Fitzroy, they have little administrative strength at all.
I do hear they are looking at re-locating a training facility to the Casey area in outer Cranbourne. That looks to be the first pro-active thing the club has done in years.
I do hold grave fears for the mid to long term future of the Demons.
The Canberra Demons anyone?

I agree that they are next on the chopping block. I still reckon we will never see the 18 team comp that 2 teams will either disappear or relocate and I still think one will be the Rooboys and the other very well could be Melbourne.
