Totally agree. Even though I realise he wasn't the best over the past few seasons, he wasn't THAT bad. Think a lot of people were judging based on his selection number in the draft. Whilst he still ain't a Chris Judd or anything, he is on the improve and hopefully it continues. Good work McVeigh - keep it up.
    Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!

His brother was a slow improver, so I still hold out high hopes for him. Last weeks game he did a lot of good work without being a star, and from what I saw today, he was OK again.

His first goal was really classy. I think as he's given more opportunity to get the ball his talent will shine through as I believe he does have the skills.

Great game for him, but consistency is something he's got to work on before he has a great season.

Good game from him again today, 2 goals and 2 assists is a pretty good return for a small forward.

Did anyone else think that Bevan looked half decent when he was playing up forward?

I've always thought McVeigh looked better up forward than as a permanent midfielder.
And yes, Bevan did look decent up forward. Reminded me of his debut season (2004?) playing against Carlton at Princes Park when he took the game by the throat for about 10 or 15 minutes when it looked like getting away from us, kicked a goal and helped spark the winning revival.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I have to admit he was pretty good today , his kicking was good, his pressure was good, and he even laid a good tackle. But what's that saying about a swallow and a summer? He needs to play like this consistently...that's his challenge.

                              McVague isnt too bad.

Agree with Scott. His brother took a long time to come on - the last few games have shown some promising signs.

He still sounds like a jockey.
