Our shepherding has improved heaps so far this year! Noticed a few good ones on Saturday. I think that's been a major factor in allowing us to keep the ball moving quickly by hand. There have been a few stuff-ups but overall a lot less hospital handpasses.

Seriously, compared to this time in the last few seasons, to win three games on the trot is a real treat.

The whole lot of them have improved - including Blind Barry (right up to the left hook).
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I was very impressed by McVeigh on Saturday night. He seems to have developed the footy smarts. Everytime he got the ball he did the right thing with it. I'd go so far as to call it a faultless performance.

Agreed - McVeigh was great against Eagles. He showed good footy skills but especially I thought good smarts - being in the right place at the right time and making the right judgements. NOt all of the Swans managed that on Sat night.

He's been in terrific form. So too his brother in the games I've seen him - absolutely killing them (or was).

True, but you still gotta kick the gifts. And its also a good sign that he was in the right place at the right time.

Whether Goodes or McVeigh kicked it, my comment about midfielders contributing on the scoreboard would still stand.

He's confirming what I always believed about him....
He's a good player when he's allowed to be more attacking.

Although in saying that, making him a tagger for a couple of seasons, has probably contributed to his 'footy knowledge'.
I reckon he probably learnt alot from following the likes of Benny Cousins around the ground.

And he kicked the goal, a great improvement from McVeigh.

Ok I better line up for my slice of humble pie as I was not a fan at all and now I will have to admit to slowly coming around.

With Jack playing the defensive role so well McVeigh has been freed up and looks a lot better early season. His positioning when moving forward has been very good, he has showed glimpses of this over the last couple of seasons.

Hopefully he will continue to improve.

                              Pass the pie please!

                              Cheers
