Lethal wants to play the "Ugly Swans"

    Leigh prefers the ugly Sydney

?The one thing you identify with the Swans - that chip, chip, chip count down the boundary line - they didn't do that (against Adelaide),? he said.

?You hope they actually go chip-chip down the line really because they are much more dangerous with what they did (Sunday) in spreading and running.?
Is he playing mind games already? Does he feel the Lions will have more of a chance if it's a shoot-out? Yeah, nice try, Lethal.

    P.S. Sorry, Scott!

I was about to paste the same link.

I also wondered if it was mind games that lethal was playing.

I think he's playing mind games too. The Lions haven't had much success against either the free-flowing style (when they were very ordinary, back in 2005-6) or when they were good.

We played Port Adelaide, not Adelaide Leigh Matthews!

I thought it just seemed like an article? Why is it mind games?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I don't get why you think it's mind games. I took from it that he would prefer us to play our chip, chip style because he thinks they have a better chance against that then against the way we played on Sunday.

              Mind games I reckon.

If he really believed that, why would he say it? It just puts Brisbane behind the 8-ball.

I am not saying that I think it is mind games but let me try and explain why some people might think it is

Lets assume that Leigh Matthews thinks that Brisbane would stand a better chance of winning if we played the less typical free-scoring style, as we did against Port Adelaide

He comes out and says...omg I hope Swans DONT play free-scoring because they would be harder to beat

He is hoping that reverse psychology takes over and the Swans actually do play free-scoring...rather than shut-down football

Obviously the inclusion of the wrong team is another example of Leigh's mind games. He wants it so that the Swans players dont even know who they have been playing !!!

The journo inserted the wrong side, not Lethal.
