Rhino played as a genuine midfielder

I know he's played up the wings in last couple of year, but played out of the centre tonight with good effect...27 disposals, 17 contested poss & 3 clearances. Was this just an experiment to clear out space for Hall & Micky and allow McVeigh & Moore space at their feet?

I have seen a few threads re ROK at FF, but by his performance tonight a rotating role through the centre sounds good to me (esp given his accuracy in front of goal (his 2 tonight notwithstanding - not set shots).

Well, he's definitely got the motor for it and would be a terrible player for the opposition to match-up on.

I was thinking the same thing during the game that maybe he should become a permanent midfielder.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

He certainly did very well tonight in the midfield but I still reckon he is wasted in there. That contested possesion stat is fantastic though. I do think he would make an absolute gun CHF, but I guess we are not going to see that till the days of BBB are past I guess. Best game of the year for him so far by a long way.

I honestly reckon they got the uncontested and contested stats mixed up on GDL. I don't remember ROK picking up too many contested possessions, but a HUGE number of uncontested possessions, many of which were in the back half towards the end of the match. 17 uncontested possessions seems far more accurate.

But, he did play really well. Our third best, behind Kirk and B2.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I love ROK but a midfielder????

He's great overhead with a beautiful kick but most of his posessions are uncontested. He's got the nmotor to run all night, but is he that quick??? I don't think so.

I thing HFF or wing suits him best. Preferabley on the wing with a licence to run!

Wing is the midfield isn't it?

Was my BOG last night - a couple of crucial touches in particular but worked hard all night.

Perhaps the stats men had the same problem as Dwayne Russell, and gave some of Crackers possessions to Pebbles. I laughed when he called Pebbles for a hard ball get (that was Cracker), and then had to make up a total nonsense when the man on the end of the handball chain was - O'Keefe.

Bolton was great but could have been different if Brown kicked straight. McV didn't have an oppoenent most of the night. Hall was excellent but also didn't kick straight. ROK was our best 4Q performer (with Kirk) and his save in just before Q3 times led to a goal followed by the clincnher in Q4. BOG for me, just not as showy as your choices...
