Who makes way for Spida and Fossy?

Assuming no injuries, who will be sent packing to Canberra when Spida and Fossy are available?
For mine, Spida replaces Grundy...too slow....Fossy replaces Bevo....too many turnovers, especially in traffic.

Both are a few weeks away yet. A lot can happen between now and then.

Clearly we'll be more competitive in the ruck once Spida returns though, regardless of who makes way. It is clearly the main weakness in the team at the moment, having to have poor LRT act as a makeshift.

      LRT makes way for Spida.
Bolton J to provide Fosdike with a spot.
      Bevan out for Malceski?

I daresay we will have injuries before any of them come back, but at this stage I would reckon that this is our best 22 (notwithstanding the fact that I think Davis is one of our 22 best footballers, I don't know where he fits in the team atm).

Well IMO..lets send them both to reserves and see how they shape up fitness wise then take a long hard look at who should go/stay

What I meant when I said.. "when Spida and Fossy are available" means..when they are fit and ready to go at senior level.
The whole question is obviously hypothetical, as we all know, injuries will more than likely happen.

I can understand why Everitt would come straight back in but Fosdike is no star and should come back through the amateurs just like any other average player would.

Grundy to make way for Everitt thus allowing LRT to takeover Grundy's role in the team and Everitt to take LRT's role in the team as the second ruckman. That seems simple enough. Also wasn't their reports that Everitt would be fit to play against West Coast next weekend, thus making the need to find a spot in the team for Everitt important?

As for Fosdike he would be a few weeks away still from overcoming his injury and I would then have him play in the reserves for a few weeks to gain some match fitness because he isn't a player that we are crying out for and there isn't a player in the team that is crying out for replacement. But who knows where everything on that front will stand in a month or so? Plus he might be coming back into the frame for the seniors at the same time as Malceski is getting ready to return as well and I then don't see the need to put both into the side unless form and injuries say otherwise (which we can't predict at this stage)

So at this stage only one change looks important leading up to the All Star Game brake and that would be the one that brings Everitt back into the side and I can see Grundy getting the chop there. Other than that only changes would be for injury or form drops to the likes of Bird, Jack, Moore and Barlow.
                Once was, now elsewhere

Bevan's spot in the forward line. It was embarrassing last night to see a guy with absolutely no footy smarts snapping for goal and it going straight into the air.

Dare I say Bevan's man also ran off him last night with relative ease on at least one occassion and set up a goal to Bradshaw.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Grundy for Spida.... Or Ted.... They're both playing OK but I'd prefer to have teh extra ruckman in the team and still retain LRT.

I like the thought of Jude making way for Fossie. Though I sustpect that Bird may, Moore or Barlow may be the ones to go.

And if they bring back the Eski, they can punt pretty much anyone!

At the 15 minute mark of the first quarter Bevan made good position in the goal square when Buchanon was tackled and scrubbed the kick which bounced out towards the pocket. Bevan gathered the ball with one grab and whilst being tackled by Justin Sherman and running away from the goals under pressure snapped the ball over his shoulder with the goals unsighted. As he kicked he was pushed away from the goals and off the ball by Sherman but was still strong enough in the tackle and poised to hook back over his shoulder from an angle. The kick was touched about half a metre from the line by a leaping Merrit dead centre of the goals. A top effort. Personally I'm more embarrassed by watching a player who doesn't really try. An embarrassment I haven't experienced since the St Kilda game. Bevan made good position on the forward line in the first quarter and combined well with Cheese Barlow.
As Paul Roos said about Bevo: "He's a good player for us ? he generally uses the ball pretty well,"

I think that happened in the third quarter when Bevan was playing as defender on Corry who had pushed up onto our half forward line. Bevan was playing him in front, Corry put an arm in his back (no free) Bevan was pushed forward and the ball cleared the pack and Corry was away. Bevo recovered and had closed on Corry and was then taken out by a big shepherd by Luedenberg who sat him on his arse. You are right Corry "ran off" him after pushing him in the back and Bevo was taken out by ruckman. Your point is?

Connolly must be Bevan's Dad, he must be! Yeah Bevan has done some good things, but you can't defend every mistake he makes and somehow justify it. You'd think Bevo was leading the Brownlow count or something!
