I'm not just talking about that incident, you seem to find an excuse for most of his mistakes, which is fine but you should atleast admit it I don't have anything against Bevo, you'd struggle to find 3 posts where I've blatantly bagged him and he's definitely found more of a niche this season, but he still has many flaws in his game.

I wish him all the best, but I think he'll struggle to keep his spot next season.

        Bird will go for Fosdike.

        Grundy will go for Spida.

        J. Bolton should go for Davis.

Yeah - Let's bring Fosdike straight in at the expense of a young kid because he played well in the GF 3 years ago.

Fearless and Spider both wont play this week.
Personally I dont think there will be any changes this week.
The kids are holding there own, Reg will probably be the one to make way for Spider when he is right and I rekon Fearless will probably have to go around in the magoos as he needs a run.

He'll come in because he's in our best 22.

He'll have to prove that he's in our best 22 first, by first playing in the reserves.

I doubt he's in the best 22 (Fosdike) - Moore, Barlow, Schmidt and Jack are playing better than him atm...as for the 2005 GF, I know he got 26 possies, but hardly any of them were damaging. He was left free because he was the least danger to the Eagles, (IMO)

I am up to here with commentators and journalists judging BOG on the basis of possessions, as if it was the most important indicator of a player's worth to the team.
And on topic, Fos will have to come back through the seconds, like anyone else who's been out for ages.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I reckon Fossie is in our best 22.

He's ahead of J.Bolton and Ablett in my opinion.

Considering Roos rated him as our best on the day, either the coach or yourself have got it wrong. I'll back Roos on that one.

Once match fit, Fosdike will be back in the team no worries.

J.Bolton, yes, although he'll have to prove it in the 2s first.

Ablett? No, no, no. Ablett is a really great player. Sure, his disposal isn't all that flash, but he is a brilliant tagger. He isn't quick, but he isn't slow enough that it really disadvantages him. He has a great tank. And, he is a tough nut, with a booming kick. He is very important to our side. Without him doing his job week in, week out, we would be eaten alive by any decent midfield. He is one player who always flies under the radar because he isn't flashy, but there is a reason he gets picked every week. If he was in for his ball use, speed and possession-getting ability, then Roos would be mad. But he's not. He is a tagger who consistently does his job, and does his job well, and if we're lucky, picks up a few possessions himself, and sends a couple of booming kicks inside 50. Unless he's injured, or his game really takes a turn for the worse, the day he is dropped is the day I hunt down Roos and give him a piece of my mind face to face.

I have always been a big fan of Fozzie but I have to agree with others on here that he needs to visit Canberra before he is even up for selection.
I would hate to see Birdy lose his spot. I think he is coming along well, showing a little more every week as his confidence grows and as for Moore, Jack or Barlow losing their places - unthinkable!
