I had no trouble getting one over the phone even though I was a bit vague as the correct name of the, - the sales guy found them easily enough

I agree with what others have said, you have to guide the Ticketek people through the process because that category of ticket (Member's guest) takes a bit of finding. I was amazed how much they've gone up in price. A friend of mine who is a member, bought one for his wife for this weekend's game, and paid something like $42 ($36 for the ticket and a booking fee of $5.95). Apparently the booking fee is fixed for one or more tickets but seems very steep! It was only a year or so back that Stadium Oz members guest tickets were $29 plus a booking fee. And these were always a little bit cheaper than those at the SCG. In all the years I've been going to Stad Oz I've never seen the Members Reserve area "policed" to admit members only.

          Silly pricing structure.

If I am inducing new blood to come and watch the games, I get them to buy the cheapest tickets available to get thru the gate, then they just meet me and sit in the Members Reserve. We are taking 2 young blokes who go to school with my daughter for their first taste of AFL on Sat nite. I bought them 2 cheap tickets into the away team supporters area and they will just sit with us in the Members.

that booking fee really pisses me off with ticketek. I went to get tickets to a footy game down here in Canberra and went specifically to an agency to avoid paying the net/phone booking fees and still got slugged a booking fee. Just annoys me- probably I guess its justified.

As others have said get there before about 6 and youll have no problems finding a good seat. Even close to kick off there are plenty of more then decent seats available in the members reserve as I got to one of the games late last year and had no problems finding decent seats.
