I can't see the Eagles just laying down and taking a thrashing, but it would be a beautiful sight to see Micky O produce a magical goal to put us 80 points in front and them pump up the crowd!

    Oh.....the joy

Enough dreaming, though. My tip is Sydney by 32

I'm really quite confident about us winning this one after our last 2 weeks, and having watched the derby.

Absence of one or both of Cox / Kerr would be a big boost - as would them playing below 100%.

Here's hoping it's not misplaced optimism!!

Judd and Cousins no longer there, Cox and Glass under huge injury clouds and Kerr struggling with a virus, lack of a preseason and the weight of having to carry the midfield on his own.

If we get on top early it will blow out.

I'll make a big prediction that Woosha will throw Hunter onto the forward line in the third quarter. I hope Roosey is on to the Chemist's ability to think outside the square.

Weagles are at $3.80 so I went and put $20 on them today. Good value and will ease the pain if we lose.

We really should win this game. Their midfield seems toothless compared to last year and a lot of guys who usually hurt us are out of form atm (Guys like Lynch, Staker, Embley and Stenglein).

I think we will get up by about 4 goals but I'm scared that we could have one of those nights where we play @@@@house. Like round 1 last year.

                      how about that for timing

Cox likely out with a foot/ankle

Kerr likely out because he is a bloody idiot sometimes (reported for 3 separate incidence in the Derby + his prior record)

Glass looking very very proppy so far this year with a knee

Masten, Ebert, McNamara, Scott Selwood, Matt Priddis & Hurn likely our best mids right at the minute

                      West Coast by 4 points

Seriously though swans by 6 goals at least, WC are just no going well right now. Worsfold looked very very nervous in his post match interview, unusually enthusiastic and saying how much he is looking forward to the next game ect - usually you would get a couple of short Malthouse style snipes and walk out but he looked like he was putting on a front.

Very bad signs for the first half of the season

                          You got that right mate.

                          One incident looked so-so.
                          the 2nd one was bad.
and the 3rd was hard to judge.

Will be surprised if he makes it to the SCG, for at least this week.

Welcome back Lynch Beast. Always good to have friendly input from the opposition.

Despite how West Coast are travelling, it's impossible to take your guys lightly given recent history. I think round 1 last year showed us that even weakened, the Eagles can't be taken lightly. I'm usually far more apprehensive for "should win" games than for those that are 50/50.
