I know exactly what a stimulant is. "Stimulant" does not mean "performance enhancing". Ice increases blood pressure, sweating and heart-rate, things you DON'T want happening on a footy field unnecessarily. It may heighten alertness, but not on the level you want, instead making the user focus on repetitive tasks. It increases energy in the short term. That's the only thing vaguely performance-enhancing about it. However, that is more than cancelled out by the fact that it is dehydrating, increases your blood pressure and heart rate, and causes you to expend that extra energy through twitching, increased heart rate, stress and agitation. Have you seen a typical person high on ice? They aren't in any state to run around for two hours on a footy field.
Cousins would be incredibly stupid to be high on ice during a match. There is also no way he could have gotten away with it if he had. He never failed a drug test during the season. His problem was most likely confined to the off-season, or else he is very, VERY lucky not to have been caught even once.
Get over your hatred for the Weagles and Cousins. He isn't a cheat. We can judge his lifestyle choices all we want, but he isn't a cheat.
