The good thing is now with internet & radio broadcasts it's easier to use that and I do not mind the delay.

He is the worst 'commentator' ever, although better description is purveyor of Gibberish.
I thought you were talking about McAvaney there for a few minutes. Exactly the same criticisms I have of him. Goes on about how well a player played in the corresponding period last year/Last match between the teams etc etc ad nauseum.

I hate having to listen to his crap commentary on any game I am watching.

Foxtel is pretty good these days. I think Macavaney is good,he can at least generally focus on the game

After the first few minutes Lane completely losses focus (I do not think he knows anything about the team in front of him, which Macavaney does).

      He's disinterested and it shows.

There was on crap moment when he said something like "reminds of an incidint 50 years ago, I wasn't there but a similar....." it was inspiring stuff, and I long remember the joy of those few seconds of commentary

Surely Channel 10 will remove this guy?

MacAvaney is terrible. Spends most of the game asking half hypotheticals to his fellow callers who spend half the game answering Bruce about whether this is shot of the night or whether he should have steadied onto his natural side before a shot, "yep" "yep"...tedium in the extreme. Do the 7 Network really think it's a good spend to have a man on Commetti's wage answering Dorothy Dixers from a garden gnome size dinosaur?

Buckley has been excellent on air and with his Age writing too. He doesn't deserve to be stuck in a commentary box with Bruce and Ox. Then on Sunday they wheel out a tried and true media failure, Timmy The Tooth Watson who's bland comments are 15 years behind for insight.

Yeah he did and that was thanks to them slamming Willo's video evidence. The next time Brodie faced the tribunal he wasn't as lucky, they gave him 5 instead.

Tim Lane is one of the all time great commentators - accurate, intelligent and provides an excellent sense of perspective.

Yeah I think Time Lane calls the game real well, but he does crap on abit, he is still in my top 3.

Quartermaine would be my favourite, then cometti.
Hudson calls the game well for somebody who has never kicked a footy in his life, but he does sound like a 15 year old boy at his first game of footy!

I like Robert Walls, he makes some harsh comments some time, but at least he is down to the point, he craps on about ruckmen to much tho.

Tim was better when he was on the radio. Does not come across as well on the Tele.
