    Daniel O'keefe

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has any details on how our first pick in the 06 "superdraft" is progressing?

Is he far off senior selection or are other younger players ahead of him?

    Thanks in advance

The boy from the 'bool should be playing right now.

I'm disappointed that my main man, hasn't played a game yet.

He was injured for large parts of last year so I suspect that has slowed his development.

Unfortunately I think he might be. He seems way down the pecking order and is unlikely to get a game in the 1's anytime soon. You want a first round pick to, at least, be able to carve up in the 2's on a regular basis. So far he hasn't done that. Yes, he's had injury problems, but he's had little impact when he has played.......so far. Hopefully he'll be a late bloomer.

I'm basing my opinion on watching him play. Haven't seen his Canberra games, but I've seen every minute of his games in Sydney.

What do u base the "No he ain't. " on?? His surname?

I hope to hell I'm wrong, he certainly has built an impressive body shape over the off-season, the top half especially, then again maybe getting rid of the mullet makes him look more of an athlete. He may be a late bloomer, but as Ernie notes, he is WAY down the pecking order even though he was picked up much earlier in the draft than blokes who have gone past him.

I stress I'm not death riding the young bloke, I hope they all star, but based on what I've seen, I just think we've picked a dud in the first round. Again I stress, I hope I'm wrong.

Don't give me that crap that I base it on his surname, and treat me like I know nothing about @@@@ing Footy.

From people I have talked to in Warrnambool say he'll be a good player for us, it will only take time.

This is people from the Warrnambool Football Club too. So don't tell me that I know nothing!

                    **Newsflash**

                    He ain't playing at Warrnambool.

He may have been a teenage star at Warrnambool, so far he's a major disappointment in Sydney.

The Hampden League is a far stronger competition than the pathetic Canberra League, and that's despite our reserves teams are playing in it.

It's true. I wonder how many players came out from the Canberra League compared to the Hampden League?

Arguably the best Centre Half-Forward in the AFL is from the Hampden League.

DOK is struggling to get a kick in the 'pathetic' Canberra League.

What does that suggest about how he is currently travelling???
