I remember hearing LRT described as a young colt who had just broken free to describe his running style.
Whenever I see him in the open tearing down a wing (not that often) I can't help but think of it.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Flanaghan must be the best sports writer in the country. Like the way he wove the Tassie theme through the article. LRT's ancestory and ends with the great man Nash.

Agree on Flanagan, I'd read anything he writes. I'm an LRT fan, love watching him on the field, strikes me as an honest hard worker.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I am a massive LRT fan as well. To come from where he did and establish himself as a genuine footballer! I mean, I remember when I was getting on this very forum asking the question of why he was still being picked....I wanted to know what Roosy was smokin, and how much he paid! But now, although he is not yet a "superstar" (most likely never will be) he is a very honest and important player to our team. Good work LRT!

Yep so do I. Laurie Nash used to play for City-South,I'm pretty certain, who were my original redandwhite team."We're a mighty bunch of Redlegs..."
