Watching Swans game in Brisbane?

    Watching Swans game in Brisbane?

    I have an urgent request. I'm going to be in Brisbane for the weekend and just saw the TV schedule saying that the Roos game apparently isn't on FTA or Foxtel. Is there anywhere in Brisbane (pub, etc) that takes a Northern NSW feed? (or Austar, if the game is on there)?

    The Pineapple seems to be a big footy pub - does it do anything for games not on local TV?

          I'd be surprised if it wasn't shown on Foxtel, given that the Lions game will be shown on FTA up there and the Hawks v Tigers game is a late start. Are you sure about that?

              The AFL site says that the Lions game is on 7 or 10 plus Fox Sports 1 - both at 1pm. Hawks and Tigers on at 4.30 on Fox 1.

              The Swans game is the only one that is not being broadcast into Brisbane over the weekend.

                          Yep - the 1pm Sunday game is shown live on Foxtel nationally now that Fox Footy is gone. Whenever the Swans or Lions play at 1pm on a Sunday, their game gets shown on FTA in Sydney or Brisbane as well. Unfortunately it means we miss out on the 2pm game, which this week happens to be the Swans game. Usually when the Swans play at 1pm on a Sunday, 7 will replay the 2pm game at midnight in Sydney.

                              I'm pretty sure you'll find that it'll be on the Main Event channel as a QLD only exclusive. No guarantees though.

                                  No - just checked and it'd not. Looks like I'll be listening on the radio through the internet or driving back to NSW.
