    Scholarship players

Talent for second Sydney side goes interstate | The Australian

According to the article we signed 2 this week, but only named Nathan Kenny as one of them. Does anyone know who the other player is?

Would be interesting to know what has happened to the past scholarship players and what benefits they have gained. Maybe they can be part of the new teams sights.

Most are still "in the system". Of those eligible to be drafted last year, 6 made it onto AFL lists, two as seniors and four as rookies. There can't have been that many more eligible. Most clubs are going to at least offer a rookie spot to any scholarship player they think shows any promise because for the first year the spot they take up is in addition to the normal rookie quota.

Ryan B-N, the first scholarship player the Swans signed, is on the Rams Rising list and has played several games already this season with the Swans reserves team. I don't think he is eligble to be drafted until next year.
