Yep, Bevan was tough and effective today. I was very impressed.

Always good to see Grant not get a kick, no matter who he's playing. Superb effort from Bevo today.
Today's a draft of your epitaph

Excellent defensive game. Most people have acknowledged his defensive work.

Certainly no quarterbacking, which I looked for.

the problem on here with bevan is we have a dead set idiot painting him as the best player of all time. He has improved, but he has been given enough chances, chances not always given to others
Theres not much left to say

Did a great job today. When he sticks to his role, and doesn't try to play above his ability, he's rather effective. Just that this doesn't happy too often....

Very very impressed with Bevo's game. Hardest-working defender by a long way. Numerous 2nd + 3rd efforts, and even his kicking was on-song.

A highlight of a mostly uninspiring performance.

He's actually quite a nice kick. It's his decision making with the ball when under pressure that's suspect. Fortunately there was limited test on that today, and so he performed his role very well.

Bevo was sensational at shutting down Shagger.

Also created some plays as well.

Maybe we should try and trade him now that he has SOME value!

We were at tje Lockett end, Bevan cost us at least one goal when he wasn't manning up.

He has improved, but when you start from such a low point it isn't hard to get better.

I was on Bevo watch today, notebook and all. After Half time I put the notebook away. He didn't make a disposal error today and seemed to keep his feet a lot more for a change. I too thought he lost his amn for a goal, but by watching him closely I noted that he wasn't always manning up Grant.

It appeared that we either rotated our backs off their forwards or vice versa.

At times Bevan didn't run up the field after Grant and left him to others and fell back to man up another small forward. It appears his brief was to stay inside the defensive 50 and was rarely spotted up the ground. But suffice to say their small forwards were fairly well checked.

Probably the best game I have seen him play.

We certainly threw the game away through poor kicking for goal and once again when our back is to the wall we start to move it quickly into the forward line. North hardly touched it for the last 20 minutes and at last our smalls decided to run to the fall of the ball inside 50 for the first time in the game.

Our middle 2 quarters were poor and we got belted out of the centre in those 2 quarters. Ablett, Kirk, MCveigh at centre bounces, Ablett blocks Simpson, McVeigh has no idea where to go and Kirk is the only bloke free for us. Just a very slow combination at centre bounces and it appears no matter what the combo only one player has eyes for the footy. In those middle 2 quarters we looked very slow indeed all over the ground.

Positive: Jesse White's ruck work was pretty good and he has an excellent vertical leap and was beating blokes much taller.

Positive: Martin Mattner, what a tough hard performance and that effort to run back with the flight of the footy and into Thompson late in the game was very gutsy indeed.

Negative: J Bolton - he was very poor and those 2 shots at the end of the 3rd Q prove to me that it is Fosdike in, Bolton out. That was inexcusable rubbish.
                              A. Buchanan - can anyone tell me if he had 1 effective disposal? He kicked straight to the opposition, ran back into traffic, fumbled, kicked nowhere and round corners and hand balled appalling to players under pressure. A stunningly inept performance.
How many frees does Leo give away and his brain seemed to be a couple of seconds behind the game until C Bolton went onto Thompson who threatened to blow us away.
