    time for a change

given theres calls for jude bolton to be dropped (which i support) and that davis seems to be dropped reguarly.

is it time for a change of coach at the end of this season. Im not saying kick roosy out for sure just opening it up to a discussion to see what we all think.

Has roosy run his race, or is yesterday just a flash in the pan. I realise we didnt actually lose and we are in the top 8, but i think we could be doing a lot better. We could play a lot better than that yesterday and our game plan was shown to be outdated, boring and ineffective.

If davis can be dropped why cant roos. Roos got us a premiership, but i mean davis basically got us there and that doesnt count any more for him.

My personal view is for the first time im considering maybe we need a fresh change, but then maybe im overreacting and it will be all good next week.

but we wont win a premiership with football like yesterday

so before anyone heckles im just asking the question, after all we are here to discuss the swans

The only significant change at the end of the season will be the Davis trade.

Dont reckon he'll go anywhere till his contract is finished.
I only got to see the first half of yesterdays game but from what i saw it was our own errors that cost us till that point.
Hes brought in 5 new players this year i think and and will probably bring a couple more in as well. I reckon he would like to work with them next year too.

Well he kept Grant to 6 possessions (2 Kicks) didn't give away one free kick, tackled punishingly and didn't give away one free kick for holding, in the back or in a marking contest. Outstanding.

                  Valid Question on Paul Roos

Though only because in my opinion I dont like the way we play footy like we played against St Kilda & The Kangaroos.

                  Is is time up ??
No, though in saying that we must now be able to change our gamestyle as we are capable of free flowing footy.
We are seeing the benefit of holding a few kids back, and we must now believe we can win playing Geelong /Hawthorn, style of football.
Roosy was able to implement a gamestyle to win a flag for which he deserves
all the accolades one can get. So Im sure he can formulate a style and encourage it now that the other teams have been able to adapt better to our tempo football, after all thats why he is there for.
We have proved on numerous occasions we can play fast free flowing football. You will often here the scribes wondering why we dont as we have all the cattle to play that style.

To say we cant win a premiership is wrong : we did playing pretty much the same footy as we did yesterday.
If we get down in the deep in of it again , the flag can be won playing that type of football even though many dont like it.
Im sure like all of us , you didnt care on that day how we won the flag !

Though Roosy, really has a challenge on hand right now.
Good start to the year really when you think about it.
Very winnable games in the next couple of weeks, with the added pressure
of players being available : Schmit,Spider,Fosdike,Playfair,Brennan,Grundy,Math ews & maybe Esky
Then the kids like Nick Smith,Brabazon and Vesper who will be pushing as well

Understand though we you are heading on this with Roosy.

No. Roos won us a premiership in 2005. It's only acceptable to be critical of Davis. He's done nothing since 2005...

No. Every time Roos does something that seems stupid, somehow it works out. I admit, there is a reason I'm not in the coaching box. Roos dropped Davis, and kept Bevan in the side. Davis is playing @@@@, while Bevan is playing the best footy of his life. I thought Roos had gone insane when he traded Schneider and Dempster for a second round pick, but we haven't missed those two players at all. Roosy isn't doing anything wrong, no matter how much us lounge chair experts like to think he is. We didn't win on Saturday because the Roos played really well, and pressured us. We didn't play that badly. The Kangaroos are a really good side. Roos didn't make any major @@@@ups that I could see, except perhaps Leo on Thompson.

I was expecting the Swans to do @@@@ this season, so as far as I'm concerned, Roos is exceeding expectations.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

                          Why?
Before the start of the season most of us had conceded that this was not going to be a great year for us and, if I'm not mistaken, we were all hoping the one bright spot would be if Roos gave the kids a go.
Well, six games in, we're fifth on the ladder and have four of our kids playing every week and have had two other debutantes. I reckon that's a pretty fair result.

It is so far, but it's still very early in the season. It could quite easily go either way from here.

Yes, totally agree but my point was that at the very least, even if it all goes pear shaped (and the last five quarters I have watched have me a tad worried) Roos has done what we all were screaming out for and played the kids.
