Who would have thought that when Malceski went down with a "season ending" knee injury we would see him listed on the injury list as only 2-3 weeks away at the end of round 6!!??!!

    AMAZING!!

Laidlaw is of concern, could do with his pace and kicking skills (while Malceski is out) but he just can't seem to get over his recurring harmstring injuries.

does this mean that Playfair is avaliable for selection?

He could be usefull in Hall's absence.

Is anyone very nervous with Malceski? I seriously don't want to see a very gifted footballer have his career and life after footy stuffed up.

Nervous, interested, curious, apprehensive, delighted, back to nervous...then a little bit of excited again. Probably a bit of what Malceski is going through. He made the decision and there is no going back. Let's be glass half full and cross those fingers and toes.

Playfair played in the 2's on the w/e. I'd imagine he's still a few weeks away from senior selection. However, stranger things have happened.

yeah, a bit nervous but the physiological basis for the new procedure is pretty good. Yes, there appear to have been some failures, but there have been failures for pretty much every type of surgical procedure ever developed - it's the nature of the beast. I seriously doubt the Swans would have subjected him to something that they weren't confident would work.

Yeh, WHERE'S CROUCHY. Not listed so he must be playing in the Sydney Swans Thirds.

But when he is ready they will rush him back in because he will have done all the hard yards, and he will just edge out the unlucky Nick Davis who has kicked 40 goals in the 2's over the last 4 weeks.

I've heard of losing players through injury, but the Swans seem to have lost one altogether.

If Crouchy can keep up this low profile, maybe he can regain his spot in the '19th man' position.

Speaking of players MIA, Fossie also isn't listed anywhere.

Roosy said in his press conference this week that he expected him to be available in about a month.

He said he expects Fosdike to be ready for senior footy in about a month. He played with the reserves last weekend, and presumably will be fronting up with them again this Sunday.
