I thought Barlow did a few nice things.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Monty is not a forward. He struggled last week and while he score a 6 pointer he is better on the ball. He is no schiender aswell.

Was at the game and our skill level was poor once again. From my vantage point you could clearly see our forward structure was not working

I missed the game due to family duties (chastised by P46 already) and my daughter doesn't have Foxtel, but from the posts here it appears I like many were spot on with the criticism of Mathews instead of Smith in.

It justs defies any logic to go backwards with blokes like Mathews instead of bringing on young players. The coaches would probably cry "matchups" but you must draw the line somewhere when it comes to development. If not Smith why not Brabazon, surely he has got more upside than the "High Planes Drifter".

I am sorry I missed seeing Everitt playing but while driving home I was thinking it would have been like watching my grandfather play. No match time aside surely this bloke has creaking bones and takes Viagra. It must have been like watching snail races.

Our only way forward now is to play White and leave him in and get rid of the dead wood such as Bolton J and Buchy who appears to have been ordinary again.

If I can catch a replay I will put in another 2 bobs worth.

For the first time in five years our hardness at the footy was lacking, really smashed in the midfield

Craig Bolton played probably his worst game. We missed LRT last year for tall forwards like Rocca, without a match-up he was all at sea. Given the use mid sized forwards Brennan may have been a better option. Disposal was poor. Playfair was a target, Kernahan kicking school though

            Mathews.

            Yikes

However he has to be respected as a player that can get the ball and hurt you. LRT no matter his strengths is not such a player. No-one respects his ability to hurt you inside 50 or outside 50. Teams regularly leave him alone so he can get the ball knowing that he won't hurt you. Who is LRT going to play on ? Minson ?? griffen ?? Mitch Hahn ?? Its hard to think of any player that really suits LRT.
refer to my post from earlier this week.

LRT is a limited player who needs to have a big slow lumbering forward. the dogs have no-one in that category other than minson - who kicked goals on him in any case. i would agree that brennan would have been a better option.

BUT it wouldn't have mattered in any case. Unless you take your chances you lose. 4.6 to 4 goals in the third quarter and that excludes everitt's miss of the lot from 30 metres. I we'd kicked 7.4 the scores would have been level. as it was we could never get the filip necessary from drawing level. which is why davo would have been prefereable

Be fair, Playfair looked very capable and added some much needed structure to our forward line.

Lead well, has good hands and looked capable of kicking 4 a game, just his kicking let him down but that is understandable considering the limited game he has had so far this year.

Looking forward to seeing what he can do over the next 5 to 8 weeks without Hall.

Apparently Playfair's kicking has been letting him down all of his career, so he has a lot of work to do to fix that.

Well I was happy with his endeavour, despite his poor goalkicking at goal.

Although one point, I swore was a goal though.

No Grim - the budgies are as bad as freo.

Jumping in on page 15 ... what a horror that game was - even before I got there!!

There was an accident somewhere near the entrance to Moore Park that had traffic (including the buses) backed up to kingdom come. I ended up getting to my seat 10 minutes in - and missed the only 10 minutes of good footy!!

To add insult to injury - the bloody price of scotch went up at the SCG. $8.50 a can. Yes, that's right!! Eight bloody dollars and fifty bloody cents. That's robbery. The drink is warm (they fill the fridges an hour before the game starts) then they pour it into a plastic cup with no ice. I'm going to have to take TWO hippies to the next game.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

If you are buying pre-mixed drinks hasn't the price increase just kicked in across the board?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

My team did no better this weekend. The end scoreline was was pure flattery for NMFC.

Like the Swans we are making up the numbers for 2008.
