Love your arguments fellas but put simply we are losing because of poor disposal skills, decision making and goal kicking and the lack of willingness/inability of a couple of so called hard nuts to go the extra yard and break the lines.

Enough has been said about J Bolton but I can't believe how far Buchanan has slipped in all facets of his game.

      Fair enough!

Which is surprising to me because I thought he was having a good (not great) season, clangers included. He seems to be breaking the lines and tackles regularly. Still has good acceleration. Wonky disposal obviously (doesn't stand out too much in the Swans though).
It must be that last year he was really bad.

I love him, but he has not been good this year and was almost 'Matthews-esque' in the Nth Melbourne game.

If it wasn't for all the other controversy over 19th men and touched over the line goals, he would have copped a hammering on this board.

Reggi, DrJ and myself sat together for the game and just shook our heads at the amount of hospital handballs he gave and clangers he made. Truly awful game.

I think all the points have missed something here. BBB straightens us up & we don't muck about with the footy as much - Rounds 2 & 3 (our best of the year) were also high scoring & he played well in 1.5 on these but he will always take the best defender. Magic cannot handle the best defender.
Discount the Geelong game cause they are in a class all their own but we would have won vs Kangaroos & Bulldogs if he was playing. Would anybody dispute this?

I like to think BBB would have made the difference but you just never know. When a team kicks as accurately as the dogs did and they were so clean and direct at goal I am not so sure.
I also think it was their defensive lapse that let us back into the game rather than our sudden improvement in skill level as we continued to butcher it every way we could think of.
Our defense were clearly down. It's unusual to see all of them implode at the same time.
For the North game I think we would have won definitely with Baz.

Agree with L.K. on the North game, against the Doggies he would have either got the yips with everyone else and kicked 1.4 or he would have kicked true and it would have rubbed of on the others and we would've kicked 18.6 and won by two (ahhhhh dreamland, it is a beautiful place.
