Dream team and Vic squads finalised - Swans reps

All 5 originally names in the squads have made the final cut. Not sure any of three Dream Team reps played this afternoon like they really wanted to be in the side but they're there.

I hate football free weekends. Going to a party on Saturday night, don't know if I can even be bothered watching this circus.

I am sure many will disagree with me but the less Swans players playing next Saturday night, the happier I will be watching this farce.

I'll skip it. Besides, Ch 10 advertising the event in Sydney didn't even bother to include any of the Swans players in their ad, which possibly means that Sydney is not the target audience, so I'm hoping that Victorians will have lot's fun watching it.

It should be an interesting contest, but it's a bit of a farce.

I was kinda hoping that since they didn't play very well yesterday they wouldn't make it. We cannot afford any more injuries especially in a game that doesn't count.

I can never understand why AFL fans are against Representative football.

                      Compare to RL:

City - Country - ok, that is a farce. No real need anymore.
SOO - Top rep football. The closest the AFL can get is this dream-team game this weekend, because AFL players are spread too thinly across all states.
International - Ok, based on representing your country. Even AFL players reject this with the international rules.

I would have thought the Vic's v rest is about the best rep football conceivable in Australian Rules at the moment. I'll be watching. With a team of this quality, you can see how the swans stars go against the best, and with the assistance of lace-out passes from the other players.

Kerr included in the Dream Team side while suspended is an absolute joke. Imagine the outcry if Hall was able to play for the Vics if he didn't break his wrist.

Glorifying Victorian football to me doesn't sound like a representative football.

I'm not against it, but I think this concept is just a complete joke. Sure, there's plenty of quality but how could anyone (who isn't a victorian) get passionate about the dream team? I am a victorian and will watch with interest, but I couldn't care less as to who wins.

Our H&A competition is so strong now that I just think the game has gone beyond representitive football.
