He did against North Melbourne, but the umpire didn't agree.

He can, just blind goal umpires can't see it.

It's pretty obvious who the umpires want to win, and I'll give you a hint, it isn't the dream team.

          Victoria 21.11 137
          Dream Team 18.12 120

A great contest that started slowly but intensified from the 2nd quarter onwards. Goodesy was definitely the best for the Swans and ROK was unusually quiet.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Essendon will be happy, no players involved tonight.

Just got home from the game. An excellent entertaining game of footy.
Sitting with opposition cheer squads was interesting but all were friendly and there was even a dream team cheer going after each goal even though a lot of us were barracking for both teams! I didn't really mind who won having two Swans in each team.
The only downside was the dickheads doing the mexican wave in the last quarter and throwing rubbish in the air!

Essendon has barely enough fit players fit to field their own side.

Admittedly I missed the second quarter - but is it me or was there noticibly no "flooding" - couldnt tell from the teve - but it looked like a good free flowing game of footy - kind of thought the Vics would win. thought the camered up umps looked like they had massive man boobs some of the new camera angles didnt quite work - but I guess the TV peeps have to try new innovative things sometime. I bet Bomber Thompson was just praying that his boys got through unscathed seeing as half of Geelong were on the field.

Thought it would have been good to do some experimental match up's such as Richo on say Boomer?
Goodes looked like he got some of his mojo back - hopefully a sign of good things to come!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Not nearly enough stoppages or sideways chip kicks...

Except when switching play across the half back line.

I wasn't planning on watching it, but I saw most of it and it was thoroughly entertaining. Great skill, pace, everything that footy is about. Regardless of the result, it was great for the game.

He started on the wing with Richo as an opponent. At the centre bounce they were about 20m apart on the centre square line. Richo had the better game in the 1st qtr, but Goodes hit back not long after. Played some good footy. Bomber was asked what instructions he gave Goodes. He didn't, he just played where he felt he should be, which was everywhere. No taggers for Goodes, and no strong tags for most of the night, although Judd had Cornes as more of a minder.

That explains a bit then, and also the high scoring, free flowing game. Maybe there should be no premiership points, just a round robin and everyone gets a trophy at the end. Then we'd see some good footy!

Hmm, interesting concept. Maybe they should reduce the number of Vic teams and spread the talent between the remaining teams, instead of spreading the thinning talent across more teams.
