    Goodes tonight for the Vics

How good is Goodes tonight. He is in total control when he has the ball.

And nice to seek ROK kick a long straight goal. If only he could do that when he played for us...

He's in top form. Only 15 touches in the first 3 quarters but his run, disposal and pressure has been effective and took a great mark in the defensive goal square.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Just got home from the game. An excellent entertaining game of footy.
Sitting with opposition cheer squads was interesting but all were friendly and there was even a dream team cheer going after each goal even though a lot of us were barracking for both teams! I didn't really mind who won having two Swans in each team.
The only downside was the dickheads doing the mexican wave in the last quarter and throwing rubbish in the air!

Haha, glad I'm not the only one who though 'Why can't ROK kick 'em like that when he's in red and white?". :P

Great night for the Swannies though. Besides Bolton, maybe. He got smashed.

I thought only Goodes had a good night (pity about some of his disposal though).

Kirk was OK, but due to the lack of stoppage/scrimmages/tagging, he lacked the opportunity to shine.
Bolton was pretty average before the concussion and not much better after it.
                      ROK was barely sited.

I don't think Bolton and Kirk were bad by any stretch. It seemed that the instructions were to give everyone plenty of space. What a snore fest though. I found it really boring. Maybe that's being from NSW and not really getting the whole BIG V rivalry with SA. I just worried about injuries. When B2 caught that elbow to the head I felt sick so am very glad everyone came through unscathed.
And Goodes just showed how classy he is when he can run free. Shame he doesn't get too many opportunities.

I thought Kirk had a good second half. Not outstanding but certainly handy. Did some good work in the middle, scored a goal and set up another with a good kick.

Bolton was OK. Brown took the points in the contest overall but Bolton beat him one-on-one in a few contests.

The game style probably didn't suit ROK. I doubt he was given licence to play as a pseudo-midfielder the way he has for much of this season for us. And it was rare that players were looking for a leading target on the HFF. Most of the time they were running up the middle and trying to kick long to Bradshaw, Brown or Fevola. He did seem to struggle to find his role in the game.

Saturday night was the type of game he'd not only like but needs for his confidence. Lots of open play where he can run & get a feel for the footy.

Hopefully it will help him improve & play the footy we know he can on Sunday.
