Seriously, if you can bring yourself to watch the 2006 GF again the second half is fantastic, thrilling football. I've only watched it the once since being at the game and again it left me wondering why we werent able to get in front of them in that last quarter (@@@@ing Hunter!!). Goodes' goal within 19 seconds of the start of that last quarter screamed victory for us. Alas.

Because we were crap in the first half (game should have been over at half time, same with 2005) and we only outscored them by 2 goals in each of the second half quarters.

Seriously NO team in footy could have come back from the likely drubbing I was expecting at half time. No team has the heart & mental strength to come back like we did. They had us on the floor, yet we came back like the Ford Cortinas we are.

With players like Tagdh & Eski we can mix that Bloods heart with players with SKILL as well. The younger fellas actually seem to be more skilful than the older players these days.

At West Coast they lose Judd, Cuzzie the twat & Chick & fall apart completely. I can't see that happening to us once we lose O'Laughlin Hall & maybe even J Bolton & Goodes.

The only part I liked about the video was when Goodes kicked that goal, seconds after the start of the 4th quarter. I thought we had it then... Now, let's get back to 2008.

Away from a footy persepctive, I think the video was well made.

Yeah - I know! I really expected to win by 5+ goals. If we'd played well in the first half I think we could have.

'Twas actually the 3AW (Melbourne) commentary, and it was a brilliant call, but I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness now that Clinton's gone. I think the "Scenes I have not seen..." bit was actually Rex Hunt though!
