It was a 2 foot thing, where the player left the holding area but didn't enter the field of play. Shows just how stupid the rule is. They conceded a goal but at no point had 19 on the field....

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

An absolutely ridiculous free kick for a stupid stupid stupid knee jerk reaction mid season rule introduction.

As I said earlier, how hard is it to have an AFL steward allowing a new player on the ground when another comes off? They can do it in the under 10's without "paperwork" so why can't the AFL?
        Does God believe in Atheists?

Because the AFL likes to make everything difficult, instead of making it easier.

Any surprise we get stupid rules with a lawyer running the game.
Get someone in the top job that has at least played or coached at a elite level.

Demetriou did play football but wasn't good at it.

I doubt Adrian Anderson played a game of football though.

Ahh yes my bad, of course dimwit play for North and Hawthorn.

As for IC rules. why can't there just be the stewards there, and once a player comes into the IC area another can go on (injuries of course excepted)

lol That would be too simple mate for the AFL.

At one stage during Saturday's match against Power; for almost a minute, the swans had SIX on the bench. The commentators were going great guns over it.

                        Stoopid rule.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

that was why I suggested that it should be LAW that if anyone is to hold down a senior position at the AFL they must have played at least 105 games at senior level. This would eliminate Demetriou (he played 103) and Anderson (ZERO) immediately - yet this idea was poo pooed by some! But this interchange rule is a farce - I'm sure that at one point we had 6 on the interchange on Saturday - its a joke!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

                            Common sense is prevailing.

                            AFL writes off interchange notification

You really have to wonder if the AFL is a professional organisation at all. Complete hacks run this game.
